1: 網絡教學的好處：
網絡教學可以帶來很多好處。首先，學生不僅不需要在交通上浪費時間，還可以根據自己的情況調節上課時間。因此，網絡教學更加靈活 (flexibility)。除此之外，在內容上學生也可以按照自己的接受程度進行學習，不需要完全“被教師帶領”(teacher-led)著學習，這樣可以提高學習效率。
2: 同時它還存在著很多弊端：
但與傳統教學方式相比 (Compared with …, …. )，網絡教學缺少了很多人與人之間的交流。學生之間缺乏交流，缺乏團隊合作 (lack communication and teamwork)，嚴重時甚至會導致個別學生的交流障礙 (barriers)；學生與電腦的互動存在著程序上的局限性，無法像教師一樣因材施教 (teach students in accordance with their own characteristics and differences)。【例證】當學生給出不規律或制作網絡課件時沒有預計到的答案時，網絡教學的“常規模式”便無法給出相應的答案。不僅如此，對于問題少年，電腦無法像教師一樣及時觀察到他們的不恰當行為，從而進行糾正。
3：所以網絡教學將代替傳統教學這一說法是很荒唐的（It is absurd to assert that…）。但是，將計算機應用在教學中，成為教學的輔助工具將會成為一個更好的選擇。因為電腦和網絡不僅可以幫助教師豐富教學內容，并以多種方式展示其教學材料 (in diversified ways)，還可以提供簡單的“程序式”練習幫助學生鞏固學習知識，從而減輕教師的工作負擔。
Conclusion:
Taking into consideration those above-mentioned features of distance education, one can conclude that無論因特網將來發展到何種地步，它都不可能取代傳統教育方式。想象一下，如果沒有教師的參與，教學工作將變得多么的“冷酷無情”，這是誰都不愿意看到和經歷的。所以，人類應該學會利用科技來豐富自己的工作，學習和生活，而不應該活在充滿機器的世界里。
