第一部分：題目規律與重點總結
首先，從題目上來說，2006年的雅思主流寫作體裁為優劣類（34%）、同意（32%）與不同意類及討論類（18%），其它類別分攤了其余的16%（因果類、解決方法類、綜合類等）。其次，從內容上來說，2006年度的主考內容為社會類（50%）與文化教育類（31%），往年的高頻題材科技類與家庭類在今年則明顯處于下風。眾所周知的是，2006年是雅思的改革之年，它意味著新一輪測試周期的開始。從上面的變化我們可以看到，雅思主考單位（UCLES、BC以及IDP）將其寫作測試目標放到了與公眾生活最為密切的社會話題以及與留學生最為密切的文化教育類上來了，這與雅思改革“貼近實用”的目標是相符合的。在2007年當中，出題特征仍然會圍繞著這個目標。因此，社會類與文化類下的三類主流體裁必然是大家的復習要點。基于此分析，展望2007，如下的作文題目應該作為主要的練習重點：
