全年共考了18場社會類的話題；9場教育類的話題；8場政府花錢的話題；3場科技的話題；3場犯罪的話題；4場環保的話題；3場媒體廣告的話題。

媒體廣告類：
Some people think that the news media nowadays have influenced people’s lives in negative ways. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
Advertising discourage people from being different individuals by making them want to be or to look the same. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
A tendency that the news reported in the media focuses on problems and emergencies rather than the positive developments is harmful to both the individual and the society. Do you agree or disagree with this statement?
政府政策：
The government is responsible for protecting a nation’s cultural identity. Thus, some people believe new buildings should be built in traditional styles. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this opinion?
Government funding should only be provided for the best students as scholarships. Other funding of universities should come from student fees and private organizations. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
In some countries, the government has tried to reduce traffic. For instance, they imposed a congestion tax during rush hour. Do you think the development is positive or negative?
社會發展：
Nowadays, some workplaces tend to employ equal numbers of men and women workers. Do you think it is a positive or negative development?
In some countries, museums charge people for admission, while in some other countries, people are admitted into museums free of charge. Do you think the advantages of charging admission outweigh its disadvantages?
Rich countries often give financial aid to poor countries, but it does not solve poverty, so rich countries should give other types of help to poor countries rather than the financial aid. To what extent do you agree?

Many people believe it is important to protect environment, but they make no effort to do it themselves, why don't they？ And do you have any suggestion for individuals to protect environment?
Some people argue that too much attention and too many resources are given to the protection of wild animals and birds. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
Many countries use fossil fuels (coal, oil, natural, gas) as the main source of energy. However, in some countries people are encouraged to develop the alternative sources of energy (wind energy and solar energy). To what extent do you agree or disagree with this development?

科技類：
Technology makes life complex, and to make it simple is to stop using technology. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
Some people believe the range of technology available to individuals today is increasing the gap between poor people and rich people. Others think it is having an opposite effect. Discuss both views and give your opinion.
The development of technology changes the way people connect with each other. In which way does the development of technology change the types of relationships among people? Does it have positive or negative effects on the relationships?
教育類：
Some people think it is better for children to begin to learn a foreign language at primary school than at secondary school. Do you think the advantages outweigh the disadvantages?
Some people think that the students with the best academic results should be rewarded, while others believe that we should reward the students who make progress. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.
Some people think secondary school students should study international news as one of their subjects. Other people say this is a waste of valuable school time. Discuss both views and give your opinion.
犯罪類：
Some think most crime is the result of circumstances e.g. poverty and other social problems. Others believe that most crime is caused by people who are bad by nature. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.
More and more measures to improve the security in large urban areas have been introduced in many countries because of the increased crime. Do the benefits of these measures outweigh the drawbacks?
Some people think the only purpose of prison is to punish crime. Others think it has other functions. Discuss the two views and give your opinions.
