1.媒體帶來的好處有：讓信息傳播（informationdissemination）更加高效，傳播的范圍更廣，速度更快。對商家來講，使用媒體是宣傳（advertise）最有效的手段，商品（commodity）的信息通過媒體傳播給了更多人，這就意味著可能會有更多的人來購買他們的產品。對個人來說，如果沒有媒體的話，人們無從得知遠方（distant）發生的事情，喪失了很多了解奇聞趣事或新知識的機會，生活將十分單調乏味（dull）；人們也無法結交遠方的朋友，無法通過媒體認識志同道合的同伴，因此更容易在無法與身邊的人建立友情時感到孤獨。
